Pumpkins!

Hi Everyone, it's me, Frog!
I've got a pumpkin growing on my pumpkin plant!
My pumpkins are BRAVE! My pumpkins are STRONG! My pumpkins are GROWING!
It isnt easy being a pumpkin you know. Well, not when I'M trying to grow you anyway!

I planted my pumpkin seeds in May, and they were very happy. They grew very quickly and looked nice and strong.

But then we moved to our new house, and they didnt know if they wanted to grow in our new garden. Four of them looked quite happy and strong, so I put them in the front garden to grow, and the fifth one didnt look so strong so we put him in a pot and kept him in the porch, where it was nice and warm and sheltered.

Now, even though we have had a really hot summer, it was still a bit windy in our front garden because we live VERY near the beach, and that always makes it a bit breezy!

The four pumpkin plants in the front garden just sat and shivered! Poor things!

The pumpkin in the porch grew BIG and STRONG and was VERY HAPPY.

I felt so sorry for the four pumpkins shivering in the front garden that I dug them up again and moved them into the back garden where it is more sheltered and popped them into a big tub.

Well, they were MUCH happier there! They GREW and GREW and GREW!! They made lots of lovely yellow flowers for ages, and now they have started growing a little pumpkin!

It's eleven and half weeks until Hallowe'en - do you think it will be big enough by then to make a lovely lantern?

Pumpkins plants do get VERY thirsty, so I give them lots of water and I talk to them all the time and tell them stories; I want them to be happy and BIG!

I have learnt that plants don't just need water and plant food to make them strong and happy, they need to be in the right place too. I like being near the beach and that makes me happy, but pumkpin plants like being in a warm sheltered place best.

I have to go and give them another drink now, we want that pumpkin to be HUGE!

Obi-Sven-Kenifferous!!

Hi Everyone, it's me, Obi-Sven!
Frog's new story CD is going to be obisvenkenifferous! I've sneaked one of the pics from it to show you - this pic is going to be on the disc, and the black bit where it fixes in the box is on Frog's nose!
We are ALL very excited about it. Even though cats don't usually like to admit that they are excited, we ARE excited!
It's good fun being in a story. You can do all kinds of things that you cant do in real life - FROGTASTIC!
I have to go now, because I am SO excited I have to wash my whiskers all over again.

How FROGTASTIC IS THAT?? It has got "Frog the Dog's Seaside Stickiness!" and "Frog the Dog Finds the Paw With A Claw!" and an interview with me really barking. AND I'm going to have my very own special music on it - MY OWN TUNE !!

I help Helen to read the stories, so it's like we are just sitting next to you reading!

Do you remember how Helen has SO many jobs? Publishing the books and printing them and binding them and selling them......Well, now she doesn't have to do that anymore because we have got another publisher called Fair Press Ltd who will organise that for us. That is VERY good news, and means we can spend more time writing lovely stories and drawing cool fun pictures for you.

Hurrah!With all this excitement, I think I'm starting to feel a little peckish....
